The Count’s Manor
The Count’s Manor, an alternative version of Death House, pays special tribute to the actor Bela Lugosi who played Count Dracula in the 1931 film adaptation of Bram Stoker’s gothic horror novel, Dracula. Lugosi’s portrayal has immortalized the iconic image and mannerisms of the Dracula we know today. Dracula (1931) is a highly recommend viewing, helping set the tone and atmosphere of the adventure of The Count’s Manor.
This version of Death House was designed to bring continuity to the Curse of Strahd campaign, filling in the backstory, and setting the tone and atmosphere of what is to come. This will also be the first encounter with a Vampire for the Party.
The Count’s Manor has been tailored for levels 1-3 and a party of 3-5.
It was also designed to be played as a stand-alone one-shot, for those interested in a low-level introduction to a Gothic Horror adventure.
